A shabby chic can be modern – the hall

entryway, originally uploaded by Saídos da Concha.

Here’s a fresh approach to shabby chic furniture, just to show it’s not all about pastels.
Constança says:

this is my tiny red and aqua entryway! We’ve reused an old sink and I made the wallpocket myself.

This delightfully fresh look has a slightly Scandanavian feel, maybe it’s the contrast of the lovely aqua blue with the touches of zinging red. Whatever it is it does show that shabby chic doesn’t have to mean pink and rosebuds.
I love the made over sink! If you check out Constança’s blog you can see what a state it was in originally. (The blog’s in Portuguese, not Spanish as I originally claimed – idiot :( , but we all know how to use google translate – right :-) )
I think Constança has a light, fresh touch and gives a good reminder that shabby chic furniture needed be heavy at all.

Just a tiny remark: you’ll have to use the google translator for Portuguese instead of Spanish…
