1821572490 b121a7c064 Painted Vanity Table using black high gloss

High Gloss Black Vanity Table, originally uploaded by Nadia Bacons.

Once you’ve done all your hard work painting you could end up with something as yummy as this glamourous Shabby Chic dressing table.
I’d love to see this adding a bit of Holywood glam to a bedroom with lots of mirrors and satin bedcovers.
I’d need lots of lovely accessories to put on it of course……….

Isn’t this sweet? Its maker said:

This darling, beautiful, solid, sturdy Wood, vintage dresser mirror was rescued from a far away corner in the attick. It just talked to me…”I am an old looking glass have seen glorious day’s; won’t you do something to get me back to the beautiful, fabulous days of old”! Well, that did it for me. I sanded it down, primed it and did a crackle finish on it in white and pink and distressed it some. That looked pretty good to me. I then covered it with some of my favorite vintage cut/nipped fine bone china Plates into a very beautiful mosaic; cut and nipped precisely, so one can see the part of the former porcelain plates, mosaic tiles from Rose Chintz, Rosenthal, Seltman Weiden, Johnson Brothers, Limoges Plates, almost all of them covered with roses. The colors are burgundy, pink, gold, cream, white, and surely make a statement. Added some stained glass and vitreous tiles. The mirror part itself is surrounded and finished up with pink pearls. The crown of the mirror has Capodimonte Porcelain Roses, hand made Clay Roses, pearl strings and Greenery. I grouted this mirror in Antique White Grout to give it even more charm and a finished look. The hardware to hang this mirror is attached to the mirror’s back.

Those roses look so real I thought they were sugar dipped! They are very delicate so I can’t see them surviving all the way to London! You can find this in the maker’s Etsy store
