This piece was $22.00 at the Caring Place…then free paint from the recycle center (red, then gray/blue) then chess pieces and mah jong tiles to give it a playful look — this sold at auction for $200.00!
Just shows what you can do with an unpromising piece, a bit of paint and lashings of imagination.
Personally, I think I’d have gone for more of a pale blue shade and accessorised with shells, beach combing finds and a few pebbles. But the games idea is cool and the $200 was a good price.
